Oracle de México, Cloud Solution Engineer Level 3, 2020 –

I am currently working for Oracle de México as Customer Success Cloud Adoption Specialist/Customer Success Manager, in this company I have had the opportunity to support a wide variety of customers from different industries in relation to the adoption of the Oracle Cloud platform. The adoption tasks consist of supporting clients with technical questions regarding Oracle Cloud Infrastructure services related, achieving an acceleration of this services, in addition to this, I have given various webinars related to Oracle’s cloud technology, including those related with security and derivate of this I have had the opportunity to help to several customers in the resolution of security incidents in the cloud, achieving an outstanding improvement in their security posture.

In this enterprise, I implemented and applied several procedures about security network services such as domain name system (DNS), electronic mail system and file system servers on high availability; all those services were implemented with a huge impact into the organization, getting almost 99% of the efficiency of operations. Part of the work was to develop and apply hardening procedures for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers from 5 to 8 releases too. All projects were implemented with Open-Source technologies.

Also, I contributed with the design and architecture to migrate the old site to cloud infrastructure (stand-alone to Amazon Web Services) and I created the first version of the Security Management System (ISMS). This system was used to establish general security policy.

Instituto Nacional Electoral – Sysadmin, 2007-2020

I’m the team leader for the architecting and implementation of several information technology solutions. Today there are several projects already implemented and all of them are base for the main core operations for the Instituto Nacional Electoral, also I’m participating in different projects related with Cloud such as designing and architecting of OpenShift and Satellite by Red Hat.

Some of the most important implementations that I have made are the following:

Deployment of high availability clustering solutions such as AWX, that is the upstream version from Ansible Tower by Red Hat, with this tool, the operations area has reduced manual work about 85% with automation processes with Ansible.
Red Hat Directory Server, as a centralized authentication solution, today’s the base of services such as the electronic mail and home-made systems. This deployment has contributed to the reduction of almost 99% authentication issues of core systems from the organization.
Red Hat Identity Management, with this project the organization achieved 95% of control over the access to the managed infrastructure, besides of have been able to apply access control rules over 75% of core hosts from the organization.
Deployment of virtualization technologies such as with VMWARE, Oracle OVM, and oVirt, the infrastructure area achieves a reduction of 75% of licensing over VMWARE
Administering and managing of CPU and storage resources based on DELL and Lenovo
Design, architecting and deployment of Electronic Mail System (Webpage back-end, service core and perimetral service), also I participate with security area to integrate a perimetral gateway mail system by McAfee
Daily implementation of infrastructure as demand such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux Operating
Deployment of monitoring systems such as Nagios and Zabbix, with these systems, infrastructure area has achieved about 99% of monitored

Also, I have participated in the following projects:

I was the team leader of architecting and deployment of authentication systems for the main project named “Programa de Resultados Electorales 2019”, just as the deployment of DRP for several authentication systems supporting all electoral journey, with this, we could achieve 100% of efficiency in the presidential election systems.
Co team leader processing and storage BLADE architecting and deployment infrastructure, achieving 100% reduction of rack server’s infrastructure, just as the participation of deployment of VMWARE technology.
Collaboration in special projects such as marketing research and public tenders related to BLADE processing infrastructure, just as participation in marketing research related to Red Hat licensing products.
Development and application of hardening procedures for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5, 6, 7, and 8 versions, these procedures have been implemented on 100% of hosts of the organization.
Deployment of System Center 2012 as infrastructure management through the Configuration Manager module.
